After 3 hours of shooting, the clouds swept up into the sky and this scene unfolded. Everything came together when a lightning strike lit up the clouds from within.
'Ankaa', seen rising above the storm, is the brightest star in the Phoenix constellation. The Small Magellanic cloud can also be seen, slightly lower in the sky to the centre of frame. The Milkyway galaxy sits above Lighthouse beach to the right of frame.
